Finish Machining

What Is Finish Machining?

Finish machining is a process used to remove aesthetic flaws, improve a product’s appearance, provide additional strength and resistance, and much more. It also handles the precision machining of complex parts.

How It Works

Rough and finish machining go hand-in-hand. Once a piece of processed steel goes through a rough cut, a finish pass is carried out to improve surface finish, dimensional accuracy and tolerance level. As opposed to rough machining, very low feed rates and cut depths are used. This means less material is removed, but the surface quality improves.
